As a result of increasing development pressure, and significant forecast population growth, HillPDA was engaged as sub-consultants to ARUP for the preparation of a Masterplan for Nowra CBD.
The 25-year planning period of the Masterplan aimed to inform a Draft Development Control Plan and a Draft Contributions Plan.
Our value add
HillPDA’s role was to consider the various issues and opportunities impacting on Nowra CBD relating in the first instance to:
- Population growth
- Demographic change
- Demand for retail and commercial floorspace
- The residential market
- The viability of redevelopment within the CBD core.
The result of this work led to HillPDA being engaged to undertake further analysis and detailed feasibility assessments of key sites within Nowra CBD.
The outcomes of which informed Council’s EOI process for the development and potential sale of Council owned car parking sites.
