HillPDA awarded at 2015 NSW Planning Awards.

The NSW Planning Institute of Australia’s annual ‘Awards for Excellence’ promote the benefits of planning to the community at large; recognise outstanding achievements of planners; and acknowledge the role of public and private organisations in creating environments of distinction. The 2015 awards were held last night, 11th November, where two of HillPDA’s planners were recognised for their achievements.

HillPDA Director Sarah Hill was awarded the NSW Planner of the Year for her significant contribution to the profession of planning which is evident through her long list of accomplishments including numerous senior appointments to government advisory committees and panels, nominated as an Adjunct Professor with the University of Technology Sydney and her recent appointment to the Committee for Sydney Executive Board.

“What a great honour it is to win this award for working in a profession that I am so passionate about. I was humbled to receive it in front of so many eminent leaders and practioners in my profession.

Joining PIA was a great opportunity for me as a young City planner, returning from my work in London, to reintroduce myself to the Sydney planning community. Since then I have been privileged to work with so many great planners and leaders.

To this end I would like to thank my colleagues at HillPDA for the nomination and the great support the company has given me in practice and growth.”
