Meet the Team
Tom Polden
Tom is a senior consultant in HillPDA’s planning team. He specialises in strategic, spatial, and social planning in NSW and Victoria. Tom has a particular interest in the effects of long-term trends on the land use needs of cities and regions.
Tom has undertaken a range of planning strategies relating to housing, industry, retail, and community infrastructure land uses. Tom’s experience in spatial planning has drawn on geographical information systems (GIS), using mapping software to analyse and present findings relating to land uses, infrastructure, and environmental factors. Tom is also experienced in social planning, having conducted a range of impact assessments, socio-economic analyses, crime reports, and infrastructure studies to investigate the effects of development on communities.
Whether developing strategies, spatial data, or social analysis, Tom endeavours to create accessible reports that can be used for the benefit of local areas. He has worked with stakeholders from public, private, and non-profit sectors, and from local communities, to help achieve this aim.
