Meet the Team

Michael has extensive leadership and management experience at senior level in the government, education and private sectors. Michael has extensive experience in demographic analysis and the application of demographic and economic data.

Michael has a master’s degree in geography and qualifications in land use planning and economics. He has worked in a number of roles including:

• Executive Planner Strategic Projects (contract), City of Yarra, 2015 – Present
• Director Datum Consulting, Aug 2013 – Present
• Director City Works & Development, City of Darebin, Mar 2006 – Aug 2013

Michael’s role at the City of Yarra involved providing assistance and advice on some major projects including the municipal development contributions plan. Michael undertook the pivotal internal role of managing the project and collating and assessing all infrastructure project information.

Michael is an expert GIS data operator and his experience includes establishing MapInfo in Victoria.

Michael has also made significant contributions to affordable and social housing policy and planning in Victoria. He was a contributor to the Affordable Housing Technical Advisory Group as part of the Planning Mechanisms for Affordable Housing Project.
