Dubbo Health Precinct
Economic Impact Assessment
Lauson Investments was seeking to develop a 41,720sqm health precinct in Dubbo, NSW. Specifically, this precinct would provide a range of land uses including childcare, commercial office, education, allied health, retail and aged care.
HillPDA was engaged to undertake an economic impact assessment of the proposal. Specifically, HillPDA assessed the economic potential and impact of the proposal. We also reviewed historic and forecasted socio-economic characteristics of Dubbo Regional LGA with the aim of highlighting unique socio-economic characteristics and opportunities that the proposal could support.
Project outcome
The study provided the client with:
- A concise review of the current and forecast socio-economic characteristics of the LGA. This review identified how the proposal could support these characteristics
- An estimation of the resulting economic activity that would be supported by the proposal. This included indirect and direct economic activity such as employment, renumeration, gross value added, gross output and other economic benefits.
Services:
- Socio-demographic review and analysis.
- Economic activity supported by the proposal.
