Healthone Orchard Hills
Demographic & Development Outlook
This study was prepared by HillPDA for Health Infrastructure NSW to provide advice on the planning and development outlook for a study area centred on Orchard Hills. The information provided in the report assisted Health Infrastructure NSW to determine an appropriate location for a proposed new Health One facility, which delivers integrated primary health and community care services. The study included:
- A review of future land release near the study area, including medium to long term release to coincide with the Greater Sydney growth area program
- A development pipeline review, with indicators of dwelling numbers and type, with reference to existing health infrastructure
- An audit of employment land, residential, nearby facilities and environmental constraints, which accounts for a broad range of stakeholders
- An assessment matrix that compared potential areas against suitability factors (such as age, population growth, socioeconomic disadvantage).
As a value add, the project was managed and delivered by a principal of HillPDA. The assessment matrix was bespoke and tailored to meet the needs of Health Infrastructure NSW.
