Expert Witness Land Tax Case
Prepared for Crown Solicitors Office NSW, this case involved an appeal by the owner of Bankstown Centro against the valuation of the land by the NSW Valuer General.
Adrian Hack, Principal of HillPDA, prepared several statements of evidence and appeared as an expert witness in the Land and Environment Court hearing.
Adrian’s role was to clarify what the highest and best use of the site was. This assessment involved the application of in-house retail economic modelling to identify the most probable size of the shopping centre, mix of retail offer and likely centre performance.
The appeal was dismissed by the court this providing a successful outcome for the Valuer General.
